Seven new recruits will attend the Saskatchewan Police College class starting soon. When they are done, the men will be joining the Prince Albert Police Service.

The service announced on Thursday that Cameron Preymack, Conor McGhee, Tyler Gordon, Logan Darbyshire, Chase Friedt-Mohr, Kade Cooper, and Tanner Blondeau will begin training.

They start with class #90 in Regina on January 6.

Some of the names will be familiar to residents already. Preymack talked to paNOW in 2022 about his experience as a powerlifter and holding the Saskatchewan record for squatting with 256 kg.

Friedt-Mohr played his final year of junior hockey for the Melfort Mustangs, ending the season as SJHL champions and coming very close to taking the Centennial Cup as well.

Logan Darbyshire has also made it in paNOW sports coverage as he represented St. Mary Marauders at the 2012 Ed Henick Senior Bowl high school football game.
