Cornerstone is P.A.’s top 911 response location

A recent meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the Prince Albert Police yielded some interesting statistics regarding where officers respond to the most 911 calls.

For businesses, the top location is the Walmart area at 800 15^th St. E, which had 238 calls in 2023.

Second Avenue is the next busiest response area. The Ramada and the South Hill Mall had 174 calls each.

The Victoria Hospital was fourth busiest with 163 calls followed by the south part of Cornerstone with 137 calls.

Also shared were the top areas for calls to residential properties.

Top commercial response locations

The most calls were to Tamaron Apartments on 28^th Street E, which has 144 units and got 184 calls in 2023.

Carlton Park Suites was the second busiest location. There, 132 units saw 103 calls followed by 97 calls to Bryant Place (63 units).

Tied for fourth/fifth place were the Cedar Estates (31 units) and the Diefenbaker Bridge which both saw 54 calls in 2023.

The top residential locations

All told, PAPS received 42,856 calls in 2023, which averages out to 117 calls per day.
