Brian Hardlotte to serve fourth term as PAGC Grand Chief

A familiar face has been acclaimed for a fourth term as the head of the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC).

It was announced late Friday that Brian Hardlotte will serve another term as Grand Chief after being the sole candidate nominated for the role ahead of the PAGC’s Annual Assembly at the end of October.

“I’m deeply honoured by the continued trust our leadership has placed in me,” said Grand Chief Hardlotte in a release. “That trust comes with a responsibility to keep pushing forward on the issues that matter to our Nations and our people. We have work to do, and I’m ready to get back to it.”

Hardlotte, a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, was first elected as Grand Chief back in 2017 after serving two terms as PAGC’s vice-chief. He was acclaimed for a second term in 2021 and re-elected for a third term in 2023.
