Two people charged after P.A. police seize meth and weapons

Prince Albert Police have arrested two people after seizing multiple weapons and methamphetamine from a vehicle.

At around 10 a.m. on Saturday, officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked in a no-parking zone on the 500 block of 24th Street East.

Two people, a man and a woman, were seen sleeping in the vehicle which contained multiple open containers of alcohol. They were both subsequently arrested.

While searching the vehicle, officers found a machete, a modified firearm, crystal methamphetamine, a weigh scale, and over $2,200 in cash.

As a result, the man was charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and more. The woman was charged with firearm possession, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of release order.

The two are scheduled to make their first appearances in a Prince Albert provincial courtroom on Monday.
