P.A. represented in Saskatchewan Sport Awards

A pair of Prince Albert sports figures will be part of the upcoming Excellence and Recognition Awards being put on by Sask Sport next month.

Swimming coach Hazem Hussein of the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club will receive a Coach Dedication Award, along with five other coaches from various sports.

Also being recognized is Prince Albert’s Storm Zablocki, who competes in athletics and is one of three finalists for the Youth Male Athlete of the Year. Zablocki will be up against speed skater Luca Veeman and tennis player Keegan Rice.

The awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Feb. 1 in Regina. There are 12 Recognition Award recipients along with six Excellence Award recipients.

In a release, Sask Sport said the awards are aimed at honouring individuals who have made contributions to Saskatchewan’s amateur sport community.
