The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a shooting incident that happened early Wednesday morning in the city’s east flat area.

At 12:44 a.m., officers responded to the 100 Block of MacDowall Cres. for a weapons complaint.

On arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunshots being fired at a residence. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

One resident who lives in the area told paNOW he heard what sounded like five rounds being fired from a gun. Another resident said the house in question was known to have ties to drug activity.

A suspect vehicle was identified as driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed immediately after the firearm was discharged. The vehicle is described as a newer model Dodge Charger, grey in color.

Anyone with possible information about this incident is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service.
