James Smith remains in partial lockdown, RCMP looking for potentially armed man

RCMP are looking for a 34-year-old man who they believe may be armed and dangerous.

Keenan Crawford Head is believed to have stolen a black Cadillac Escalade Tuesday morning in Prince Albert before traveling to James Smith Cree Nation.

The vehicle was found later in the afternoon on the First Nation; however, Head was nowhere to be seen. The community remains under a partial lockdown as residents are asked to stay indoors and entrances into the area are being monitored.

RCMP are continuing to conduct proactive patrols in James Smith and surrounding areas. They’re also getting help from the community’s security team which was created following last year’s mass stabbing attack.

Head is described as 5-9, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
