Guns, stolen cheques and electronics seized by police after bust in Prince Albert

An ongoing investigation into the fraudulent purchase of a firearm, by way of a stolen credit card and gun license, led police officers to an address in Prince Albert’s midtown neighbourhood.

The search warrant that was executed on Monday, resulted in the seizure of the firearm; as well as a second prohibited firearm, ammunition, firearm components, pellet guns, brass knuckles and various edged weapons.

Police also located various identification cards, stolen cheques, an ID card printer, cellphones, computers; and various property believed to be stolen.

Six individuals were arrested without incident at the residence and four were later released without charge.

Julie Daigneault, 44, and Taylor Lariviere, 31, appeared in court on Tuesday and were remanded to dates in August.

Both from Prince Albert, they face over a dozen charges including possession of stolen property under $5,000, fraud under $5,000, unlicensed possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, and failure to comply with release order condition.
