March storm brings low visibility on area highways

A snowstorm this afternoon appears to be bringing low visibility for drivers and is expected to last until later Tuesday evening.

As of 5:00 p.m., the Highway Hotline reported poor visibility on highways outside Prince Albert with winter driving conditions on the road.

Some drivers on Facebook reported that Highway 11 between Prince Albert and Saskatoon had icy road conditions and advised travellers to not take the road.

According to Environment Canada, the storm will include about 5 cm of snow but comes with wind gusts between 20 km/h to 40 km or later today, 50 km/h.
