SaskTel waiving long-distance, text fees for customers connecting with those in Syria & Turkey

SaskTel is waiving fees for those trying to connect with loved ones in Syria and Turkey after the devastating earthquake.

Customers won’t be charged for long-distance calls or for international text messages.

This will go into effect starting Thursday and will stay in place until the end of the month.

“Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by the deadly earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey earlier this week,” Don Morgan, the minister responsible for SaskTel said. “In times of crisis, it’s important that we come together as a community to support those who need it and assist where possible.”
