OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Where to take your trees after Christmas in P.A.

Dec 29, 2022 | 9:00 AM

Christmas is over and some people may have already started taking down their signs of the season. If you and your family celebrated around a real Christmas tree this year, you need to know where to take it.

The City of Prince Albert said that due to no tree burn this year, all real trees can be dropped off at the City Landfill until Jan. 29, 2023.

All decorations and tinsel should be removed from the trees and if trees are placed in plastic tree bags, these bags need to be removed prior to drop off.

The city landfill is open from 8 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. daily but will be closed on Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.

Meanwhile, some areas of the city still have a chance to put some extra waste or recycling out this week. An additional garbage day will be open on Monday for Area 3 residents, the day after normal recycling pickup.

Area 4 residents will have an extra recycling pickup on Friday, after its usual garbage pickup on Thursday.
