Two men charged after firearm found in vehicle

Two people have been arrested and charged after police found a firearm inside their vehicle.

Just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, officers on patrol stopped a vehicle that was speeding and failed to stop at the intersection of First Avenue and 28^th Street West.

Police later found the two illegally had a firearm in their vehicle.

Christian Blaine Michel, 22, and Preston Ray Bird, 21, are now facing charges of possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and being an occupant in a vehicle knowing a firearm was present.

They also face charges of breach of court conditions and appeared in court in Prince Albert Tuesday morning.
