Fall is arriving which means another season has started for minor football players in Prince Albert.

Hundreds of young players flocked to the gridiron for a full day of games at Saskatoon Minor Football Field on Sunday for the start of the Kinsmen Football League.

The bantam and peewee Prince Albert River Riders took on the Saskatoon Raiders in their respective divisions.

The bantams had an evenly matched defensive game, winning 16-13.

Meanwhile, the peewee River Riders scored on all but two of their offensive possessions and were victorious in their game, 45-27.

The River Riders will head to their home field on Sept. 18 at Max Clunie Field in Prime Ministers Park to face the Saskatoon Steelers. The peewee game will start at 1 p.m., and the bantams kick off at 3:30 p.m.
