After day one of the tournaments, here’s how the competition stacks up:

Prince Albert’s Danny Klughart scored E(71), which puts him in a tie for fourth with Kyle Wiebe of Kindersley to round out the top five.

Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship

Not only does Henry sit atop the Amateur leaderboard, but he’s also leading the Men’s Mid-Amateur Championships with the same score. He sits one stroke ahead of Moose Jaw’s Chris Knoop.

Defending champion for the past three years, Danny Klughart, along with Kyle Wiebe share third place with the same score as in the Amateur Championships. Jeff Whitfield of Birch Hills finished fifth with a +1(72).

Women’s Amateur Championship

2020 Amateur Champion, Brooklin Fry of Shell Lake didn’t crack the top five after round one. However, she scored a +15(86), enough to put her in a tie for sixth.

Saskatoon’s Sarah Grieve finished alone at the top, scoring a +9(80). Calgary’s Emily Cornwall and Regina’s Autumn Neiszner managed to finish in a tie for second with +10(81) while Langenburg’s Chelsea Kinoshita fished fourth with a +11(82) and Symone Ripley of Saskatoon finished fifth with +14(85).
