Kyla Art show goes virtual again
For the second year in a row, the Kyla Artist Group has been forced due to COVID-19 to present their annual fall show virtually.
The dates for the 43rd Show and Sale, and fundraiser for the Prince Albert Optimist Group have been scheduled from Nov. 28 to Dec. 11. Group president Annette Henbid told paNOW she was hopeful in May when case numbers were dropping, they could return to an in-person event.
“In the past the sales weren’t as high as what we had with our live show,” she said. “You just can’t compromise safety right now.”
Henid however remains grateful the artists can still have opportunity to show what they have been working on the past year. And coincidentally, gratitude is actually the theme for a number of piece at this year’s show. Henbid herself has been working on a tribute to health-care workers, and she plans to donate the proceeds from the sale to the Victoria Hospital Foundation.
