Over six weeks after a warrant for her arrest was issued, a 26-year-old woman charged with abducting an infant has been apprehended on One Arrow First Nation.

Tori Sutherland is alleged to have entered a One Arrow First Nation residence without permission on Nov. 14, assaulted a woman who lived there, and then took the woman’s four-month-old son.

The boy was discovered unharmed in another residence by his mother, after being separated for 30 to 45 minutes.

Sutherland was arrested without incident on Dec. 31 by Wakwaw RCMP with the assistance of the Rosthern RCMP Detachment, the Saskatchewan RCMP said in a media release.
