Hope and the Future: Marauders and Crusaders programs hope to reconnect
The COVID-19 pandemic makes 2020 a year many may prefer to forget but there is hope for the future. We’ve decided to make that the focus of our series of end-of-year stories.
High school sports and after school clubs give students and teachers alike the opportunity to create long lasting bonds.
École St. Mary High School principal Mark Phaneuf, who is involved in extra-curricular activities including being a volleyball coach, said he can’t wait to have those experiences again.
“Our hope is that we have that availability to reconnect with each other and get involved in things that we’re passionate about again — whether it’s sports or band or drama or whatever it is,” Phaneuf said. “We miss that relationship that we have with our students and I know they miss it with us and with each other. We just look forward to that again.”
