14-year-old pedestrian in stable condition after getting struck by truck

A teenage girl who had just emerged from the school bus was struck by a truck according to witnesses at the scene of the crash Thursday afternoon.

Members from the Prince Albert Police Service, Fire Dept. and Parkland Ambulance were dispatched to the corner of Eighth Avenue and Fourth St. E. around 3:40 p.m.

Parkland Ambulance reported the girl is in good and stable condition.

The girl was unresponsive when first responders arrived at her side and wrapped her in a blanket, but was seen moving her head as she was being loaded into the ambulance. (Nigel Maxwell/ paNOW Staff)

Residents at the scene told paNOW the corner is a high-collision area, and a popular spot for speeders.
