Nature Caching at Blackstrap Provincial Park

Jul 20, 2020 | 2:37 PM

They have nature and night caching at most Saskatchewan Provincial Parks including Blackstrap Provincial Park!

That is caching? Basically a scavenger hunt!

The nature caching is more for younger children and the night caching is for older kids/adults! However, any age can try either of them.

For the Nature caching: You follow the green flags. Find the clues when you spot a pink flag.

Night caching: Bring a flashlight or ideally a headlamp as you will shine the light into the trees to follow the reflectors. Make sure to read the directions and snap a picture before starting.

At Blackstrap Provincial Park, the nature and night caching starts at the big trail sign located at the “Trailhead”. Find all the information just past the gate.

If your still not sure then ask the parks staff when coming into the park where you can find the courses. Be sure to grab the activity sheets that go along with the courses or take a picture of the one at the Trailhead.

Happy Caching!
