Prince Albert recommends residents not visit playgrounds

The City of Prince Albert is encouraging residents to keep off public playground equipment.

The recommendation is in line with guidelines issued by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The city has not officially closed the structures, as has been done by some other municipalities, but said in a media release they highly recommend people refrain from visiting them.

The release noted the surface of play structures are high touch areas and can be dirty and full of germs.

Residents are still encouraged to get outside and be active while maintaining safe social distancing, as fresh air and sunshine contributes to positive mental health.
