Mintos fall behind in playoff series with Contacts

The Prince Albert Mintos lost their first game, 4-1 to the Saskatoon Contacts on Tuesday to start their Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs.

It looked good early on as Ty Bahm scored 1:35 into the game to put the Mintos up 1-0, by it was all Contacts after that Ty Albrecht scored twice, Riley Heidt had another and Matthew Hodson scored an empty netter for the Contacts.

Mintos goaltender Joel Favreau was the busier of the two goaltenders, making 35 saves on 38 shots. Chase Hamm made 25 saves on 26 shots for the Contacts.

Game 2 will be on Thursday, 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
