Prince Albert, Hatchet Lake men charged in rural property theft that led to shooting near Regina
A man from Prince Albert and another from Hatchet Lake have been charged along with a Regina area woman following a shooting at a home in the RM of McKillop.
Southey RCMP were called on Aug. 30 at about 11:30 p.m. to a home in the rural area, where they learned a group of people had gotten into an altercation with the occupants of the residence.
During the fight, a gun was discharged and a man was shot, receiving serious but not life-threatening injuries. The group of three suspects stole items from inside the home and fled in a vehicle.
Additional officers were called in from Lumsden and White Butte, along with the RCMP police dog services, the Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan and the Critical Incident Response Team.
