BRP donates $27,000 to P.A. Outreach to help ‘Ride Out Intimidation’
People donned yellow shirts in solidarity at Kinsmen Park to stand up and speak out against bullying.
Members of Prince Albert Outreach and BRP’s Can-Am Sports teamed up for the ‘Ride Out Intimidation’ event on Thursday, where the powersports company presented the local organization with a cheque for $27,200.
Crystal Penner is the supervisor for the Odd Job Squad, an organization that helps out with community and youth-focused employment programs. She said that speaking out against bullying can be hard for some people based on what they experienced, and how they experienced it.
“Never expect them to open up to you if you’re the caregiver, but find them support,” she said, when asked if she had any advice to adults to help youth dealing with bullying.
