Wild rally to beat Rise 3-2 and net first win of NSL season
BURNABY — Jorian Baucom and Keelyn Stewart scored in the first and sixth minute of second-half stoppage time as the visiting Calgary Wild rallied to beat the Vancouver Rise 3-2 in Northern Super League action on Saturday.
It was the first win of the season for the Wild in 15 matches.
With the Rise ahead 2-1, Vancouver’s Tori Tumeth was issued a red card in the 84th minute and the Wild went to work on netting the equalizer.
Taegan Stewart gave the visitors a 1-0 lead when she converted a penalty in the 47th minute at Swangard Stadium, but Jessica De Filippo tied it nine minutes later, and then scored the go-ahead goal in the 65th minute.
