RCMP seek suspect, stolen vehicle after armed robbery near Holbein

Shellbrook RCMP are asking the public for their help in locating a stolen SUV along with identifying the person that stole it. 

Police said they first received a report of an armed robbery near Holbein just after 1 p.m. on July 3. Officers found that a man threatened a woman with a knife and stole her vehicle while she was parked on the side of Highway #693, just north of the community. The woman did not report any physical injuries. 

The vehicle was described as a grey 2011 Kia Sorento SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 491 PCN, while the suspect was said to be a bald man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Both the SUV and the suspect have not yet been located, and no further information about the suspect was released.  

RCMP continues to investigate. Police now ask anyone with information, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the Holbein area in the afternoon of July 3, to contact police at 310-RCMP (7267) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
