Local para swimmer makes her mark at nationals
A local member of the Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club left her mark at the Canadian Nationals as one of the youngest para swimmers for Canada.
Ali D recently travelled to Toronto to compete in the 50 and 100 metre freestyle, 100 metre breaststroke, 100 metre backstroke and 200 metre individual medley. She qualified for the finals in all her events and achieved personal best times.
She won a bronze medal in the 50-metre freestyle and finished fourth in the 100-metre breaststroke.
Earlier in her swimming season, Ali won gold in the 100-metre breaststroke at the Para Swimming World Championship series in Indianapolis for the 18 and under category.
