Another trial confirmed in Custer murder case
One of the final pieces to the puzzle for a Shellbrook area murder case is now in place.
Evan Ledoux has been committed to stand trial at Court of King’s Bench on a charge of first-degree murder.
That was the outcome of a preliminary inquiry hearing that wrapped up Thursday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. A publication ban protects both the judge’s reason for the committal and the evidence presented.
Ledoux was one of many people accused in the August 2020 death of Wesley Custer and is among the last to be dealt with. No trial dates have been set at this time and will be determined in the future during a pre-trial conference.
