There was an increased police presence in the East Flat area of Prince Albert Tuesday afternoon, according to a release from the Prince Albert Police Service.

Police were on scene on the 600 to 1500 blocks between River Street and 3rd Street East. There were 25 damaged vehicles in the area as of Tuesday morning, including broken windows, police said.

In the parking lot of Mitchell Place, a senior’s housing complex owned by Prince Albert Public Housing, every car in the lot had a window broken and one had three windows broken.

paNOW spoke to some of the residents, who didn’t want to be named, but say that they live on fixed incomes and are already trying to cope with rising inflation.

Nearby, another parking lot had vehicles with smashed windows as well as one parked on the street.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers.

Additionally, if your vehicle was targeted, police ask that you get in contact with them.
