Sask. teen wins lacrosse tournament in Australia with Canadian team
A 16-year-old teen from Wahpeton Dakota Nation is back home after winning the 2024 International Indoor Junior Lacrosse (IIJL) Commonwealth Cup in Australia.
Brody Mcleod was part of the Canadian team, chosen by the Canadian Lacrosse League, which was able to beat teams from Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide.
He told paNOW the team was looking for a couple of lefties for the tournament and he put his name forward.
Despite not knowing too much about his game, Mcleod said the coaches were happy with the player they got.
