Raiders scoop up and sign Renas from Hurricanes

The Prince Albert Raiders have added some depth and experience to their forwards following their latest signing.

On Thursday, the club announced they have signed 2005-born Dustin Renas to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The signing comes less than a day after the Raiders dealt center Hayden Pakkala to Lethbridge for a third-round pick in 2027.

Renas, a Saskatoon product, has suited up in 30 contests this year for the Hurricanes, potting three goals and four helpers. In his career, the winger has 15 points in 85 games.

Renas was released by Lethbridge on Monday after the team made a deal with the Vancouver Giants, acquiring Colton Langkow, Kai Anderson, and two picks in exchange for Tyson Zimmer.
