Jul 18, 2023 | 12:13 PM

A man with connections to Muskoday First Nation and Melfort is facing charges that include attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Waylon Daniels, 28, is on the run and both the Saskatoon Police Service and Saskatchewan CMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) are actively working to locate him.

Investigators have been checking places Daniels is known to visit and following up on information received, and are now asking members of the public to report information on his whereabouts.

In addition to the above mentioned charges, Daniels is also charged with careless transport of a firearm, possession of dangerous weapon, possess firearm without a licence, and possess firearm in a motor vehicle.

Daniels is described as 6-5 tall and 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a number of tattoos on his face and neck, including a star on his left temple, a cross on his left cheek and Roman numerals under his right eye.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.

Last January, Daniels was one of two men charged after a standoff and robbery at Muskoday.
