Man charged in early morning P.A. homicide

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder.
Just before 3:30 a.m., Prince Albert police arrived at a home in the 1100 Block of 2nd Street East after reports of an unknown 911 call. When police arrived on scene, they found a 35-year-old deceased woman inside the home. A young girl was also inside and was transported to Victoria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man, who has not been named at this time, has been charged with second degree murder and attempted murder. The police say the accused and victims are known to each other.
They continue to investigate while the man is scheduled to make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
