Jun 20, 2022 | 11:00 AM

Prince Albert and North Battleford are continuing to trend in the right direction when it comes to COVID.

That’s according to the University of Saskatchewan which continues to study the virus in each community to determine how prevalent it is.

P.A.’s levels went down roughly 26 per cent from the previous week, while North Battleford’s levels when down by around seven per cent.

The current levels in each community are some of the lowest recorded since the start of the Omicron wave. Specifically, they are the sixth-lowest in North Battleford. The U of S didn’t clarify where P.A.’s levels rank, however, they are lower than last week’s which were the seventh-lowest recorded.

Saskatoon, the third city being studied, is also seeing its levels drop.

After seeing a 134 per cent jump last week, levels decreased by around 56 per cent. They’re currently the eighth-lowest recorded since the start of the Omicron wave.

As for the Omicron variant, more specifically the Omicron subvariant BA.2, it’s accounting for all levels in the three cities.
