The Prince Albert Attack teams were right there in the hunt for that elusive gold medal in all three divisions at the 2022 Field Lacrosse Provincials, but fell just short of the top prize. They still managed to finish in the top three in all three divisions, 19U, 16U, and 14U on Sunday at Prime Ministers’ Park.

The 19U Attack got to the finals against the Sturgis Trojans, but lost 8-5. Braden Shewchuk scored nine goals and 11 points in four tournament games, while Caidyn Prediger had eight goals. Chase Ulriksen scored five goals and 10 points.

Despite having a 3-1 group stage, the Prince Albert Attack did not advance to the gold medal game as there was a three-way tie for first. On tiebreakers, the Attack were then ranked third, behind the Saskatoon Havoc and Regina Reign, who both had 3-1 records. The Attack then defeated the Sturgis Trojans 9-6 on Sunday to capture the bronze medal.

Cole Currie and Jacob Boettecher were both absolute goal machines, with Currie scoring 20 goals and 29 points in five tournament games, while Beottecher had 17 goals and 20 points.

The 14U Attack also got to the finals after a great 3-0-1 group stage record. Their only tie was against the Regina Reign, their opponents in the finals. The Reign were able to reign supreme with a 12-9 score. With that, the 14U Attack were awarded the silver medal.

Cameron Jacobson ended up with 17 goals for the Attack in five games, while Cashian Sandy had 11 goals and 17 points in five games.
