‘We’re all hurting for him’: mother pleads for answers regarding son’s disappearance
Shirley Bear says she has no idea where her son is, nor why he may be connected to a serious incident in Prince Albert’s midtown area.
Byron Lee Bear, 27, has not been seen since the early morning of Dec. 6, and was reported missing by his mother. Shirley told paNOW this is the first time her son has not come home.
“He’s always phoned us and let us know where he is. He’d call us even when he gets up and say mom I’m up, I’ll be home right away,” she said.
The same day as Bear’s disappearance, Prince Albert police responded to the 300 block of Ninth St. E., where they found evidence of a serious assault but no victims were found. They explained they had responded around 4 a.m., after a report of gunshots. Two days later, they indicated Byron may have been at the residence prior to police arrival. Shirley has no information about that.
