Extreme cold warnings continue in Saskatchewan
A large area of Saskatchewan remained under extreme cold warnings Saturday morning.
Environment Canada explains the cooler conditions mixed with windchill values in the -40C range means frostbite can develop in minutes and hypothermia is a concern.
“Arctic ridge of high pressure over Saskatchewan right now so it’s pretty clear skies and cold temps over most of the province, especially central areas,” Meteorologist Justin Shaer said Saturday.
He expects conditions to improve through the morning, but the relief is short lived.
