Dec 4, 2021 | 10:13 PM

The Carlton Crusaders were less than two minutes away from hosting the perfect Crusaders Classic Basketball Tournament this weekend at CPAC.

They had a 64-58 lead over the Central Cyclones from Moose Jaw in the gold medal game, as the Crusaders looked to run the table at the tournament. But after a few turnovers and some clutch Cyclones threes, the Crusaders had to settle with silver after a 68-64 defeat.

The Crusaders beat the North Battleford Vikings 99-46 and the Peacock Toilers from Moose Jaw 76-42 before facing the Cyclones in the finals.
