Raiders hit the road for two games in Alberta

Nov 19, 2021 | 12:00 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders start a two-game road trip in Alberta Friday as they look to take down the Central Division-leading Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Raiders are coming off a big 4-1 win over Swift Current last Saturday. Dallyn Peekeekoot scored twice in that game for the first two-goal game of his WHL career.

Tyson Laventure also scored in the win to record his ninth point of the season.

Edmonton won the last meeting between these clubs 4-2 in Prince Albert on Nov. 10. Reece Vitelli and Hayden Pakkala had the Raiders only goals in that game.

The Oil Kings sit with a 12-3-2 record on the season, on top of the Central Division and seven points back of the Winnipeg ICE who hold the best record in the WHL at 17-1.

The Raiders continue their road trip on Saturday when they head to Red Deer to play the Rebels, who beat them 4-2 back on Nov. 12.

Puck drop for Friday’s game is at 8:00 p.m. on 900 CKBI with Saturday’s match also going at 8:00 p.m. on 101.5 Beach Radio.

You can catch the pre-game show on both nights starting at 7:30 p.m.
