Saskatchewan RCMP is providing more details about a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle north of Prince Albert last week.

The victim has been identified as a 31-year-old man from Saskatoon.

“His family has been notified and his name will not be identified at this time,” RCMP told paNOW in an emailed statement.

On Sept. 28, around 9:00 p.m., police and paramedics were called to an area north of the city along Highway 2. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An orange SUV fled before police arrived and a second vehicle involved stopped and remained at the scene.

Prince Albert RCMP, Forensic Identification Section and the RCMP Collision Reconstruction along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are still investigating.

No charges have been laid at this time.
