RCMP report fatal collision north of P.A. involving a pedestrian

The Prince Albert RCMP are reporting a fatal vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that closed down Highway 2 north of the city yesterday evening.

According to a media release, right before 9 p.m. Tuesday the collision involving a pedestrian was reported to the RCMP.

An orange SUV that was reported to police fled the scene before the police arrived and a second vehicle involved stopped and remained at the scene.

The pedestrian, who was an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was not confirmed. An autopsy will take place later this week.

The Prince Albert RCMP, Forensic Identification Section and the RCMP Collision Reconstruction along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are still investigating the incident.
