Province reports 325 total COVID-19 hospitalizations, five new deaths

There are now 325 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Saskatchewan, an increase of four from Sunday’s previous record of 321.

There are 35 hospitalizations in the North West (three in the intensive care unit), 42 in North Central (seven in ICU) and five inpatients in North East. There are seven inpatients in Far North West.

There were also five new deaths reported in the province, making the new total 716.

The province is reporting 445 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, 334 are unvaccinated (with 94 of those being 11 years of age and younger).

In the northern zones, there are 39 new cases in North West, 35 in North Central and 16 in North East. There are 14 in the Far North West, one in Far North Central and 18 in Far North East.

NITHA numbers

The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority are reporting 30 new COVID-19 cases on Oct. 3; 21 of which were not vaccinated, two were partially vaccinated and seven were fully vaccinated. There are 221 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities, and 20 ICU hospitalizations.

Athabasca Health Authority

The Athabasca Health Authority rescinded the COVID-19 outbreak in Black Lake on Monday. The outbreak was initially declared on July 23. A total of 85 cases were reported and managed in connection to the outbreak.
