Shellbrook fills vacant council seat

All seats on Shellbrook Town Council are now full, following Wednesday’s election.
Peter Halayka was elected with 63 votes, which was 30 more than runner up David Knight.
The third candidate, Donovan Kultgen, received 31 votes.
A total number of 125 people voted and there were no rejected ballots.
The man who formerly held the council seat, John Hughes, resigned in August for health reasons.
