Two Sask golfers rocket into top 10 after Day 2 of Elk Ridge Open

Two Saskatchewan golfers rose up the rankings at the inaugural Elk Ridge Open on Thursday.

After two rounds, Swift Current’s Brennan Rumancik is in a three-way tie for third at two-under-par. Rumancik shot a 65 on Friday, to get him back in contention. Rumancik had a 73 on Thursday.

Right behind him in a huge seven-way tie for sixth place is Yorkton’s Kade Johnson, who is one-under-par. Johnson shot 68 on Friday to go along with his 71 in round one.

Leading the tournament after two days is Raoul Ménard, who sits at eight-under-par. The Ange-Gardien, Que., golfer is five strokes better than the rest of the field. Brendan Leonard, from Cambridge, Ont., remains in second place at three-under-par.
