RCMP are indicating a woman who was walking along the highway north of Prince Albert, was struck and killed by a vehicle late Wednesday night.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. and was roughly 3.5 km south of Spruce Home.

Medical assistance was provided, but the victim died on scene.
The driver of the SUV was also present when police arrived and did not sustain any injuries.

Prince Albert RCMP and RCMP Collision Reconstruction continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In the meantime, RCMP expressed their gratitude to EMS and the local Fire Department for their assistance.
