Parking policy strictly enforced at Victoria Hospital

People who visit or work at Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital are being reminded to park in the stalls nose first, or risk facing fines.

This comes after a number of tickets over the long weekend for parking violations. To be specific there were a total of 45 tickets issued between July 31 and Aug. 2.

One anonymous man who called paNOW to report the tickets, expressed his frustration and called his $25 ticket unfair.

When the Saskatchewan Health Authority was contacted for comment, an emailed statement was provided, explaining there is signage posted at the hospital parking lots that directs individuals to park with the front of their vehicle first.

“There have been several incidents where individuals backing into parking spots damage electrical pedestals and other infrastructure. This policy has been in place for several months. Individuals who are not properly parked are subject to enforcement including ticketing for violations,” the statement said.
