Curbside Concerts bring people out around Prince Albert

Jun 14, 2021 | 5:00 PM

With the weather being so nice, the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts is not only taking their concerts outside their building, but around the city as well.

The EA Rawlinson Centre is bringing curbside concerts to the city beginning June 15 with Kayleigh and Brock Skomorowski will perform three short concerts tomorrow night.

At 6 p.m. the first performance will be at Summer Delight in the Cornerstone Shopping Centre, by Shopper’s Drug Mart.

Then at 6:45 p.m. they’ll perform at Kinsmen Park, near the band shell parking lot.

Lastly at 7:30 p.m., they will perform a private concert at a sponsors residence.

Events coordinator for the Rawlinson, Cara Stelmaschuk says as many people as possible can come out to enjoy the music and the weather at the first two concerts of the night.

“The idea behind our curbside concerts is just bringing a little bit of live music out into the community,” Stelmaschuk said. “If people are out and about on a nice summer evening, they can definitely come by and enjoy some music.”

“They’re short shows. It’s a nice little free break from just being inside to come out and see some live music and be reminded why we like live music so much,” she added.

The next curbside concert is tentatively scheduled for June 29 with L.J. Tyson playing.

This story was updated to reflect a location change by organizers for the 6 p.m.performance.
