Walk Around the World Fundraiser
The Prince Albert Multicultural Council is hosting its first ever fundraiser, a “walk around the world” style walk-a-thon, this June!
The thought process behind the “walk around the world” theme came about due to the fact that no one has really been able to travel this year or the last due to COVID-19. In light of this, PAMC thought it would be a great idea to host a fundraiser with a travelling theme.
The idea is that there would be several pavilions set up along part of the rotary trail (2.5 km one way for a total of a 5km walk there and back) themed after specific countries/cultures and offering information about the chosen country and a multicultural activity for the walkers as well. The walk will start and end at the Prince Albert Elks Club.
The walkers are expected to earn pledges and/or pay the required $10 fee for entry and will be given “passports” to be stamped by each booth (stamps provided by PAMC) and depending upon how many booths were visited, the walkers will be entered that many times into a raffle for several prizes!
