Tanner Howe is the newest player from Prince Albert to sign in the Western Hockey League. The Regina Pats, who drafted Howe in the fourth round of the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, signed Howe to a WHL Standard Player Agreement on Friday.

Howe scored three goals and four points in five games with the Prince Albert Mintos before the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League season was cut short. Howe had 38 goals and 75 points in 31 games last year with the Prince Albert Pirates in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League.

“We’re pleased to sign Tanner and thought highly of his play last season at the U15 level,” said Pats Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock. “He was off to a strong start this season with the Mintos and we’re excited about the possibilities of him playing for us in Regina, as soon as next season.”
