No new deaths, 153 new COVID-19 cases reported in the province
As of Friday, 153 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 28,344 cases. There are a total of 26,454 recoveries and 1,510 cases are considered active. No new deaths related to COVID-19 have been reported.
The new cases in Northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (31), Far North East (eight), North West (11), North Central (five), and North East (three), while four cases are pending residence information. Ten cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North West (three), Far North East (two), North West (one), Saskatoon (one), Central West (one), and Regina (two) zones.
One hundred and fifty-five (155) people are in hospital. One hundred and thirty-nine (139) people are receiving inpatient care: Far North West (five), Far North Central (one), Far North East (two), North West (12), North Central (13), North East (one), Saskatoon (54), Central West (one), Central East (eight), Regina (36), South Central (two), and South East (four). Sixteen people are in intensive care: North West (two), North Central (one), Saskatoon (seven), and Regina (six).
