More than 400 drivers ticketed for disobeying stop signs in January, SGI says
Saskatchewan Government Insurance focused on intersections during its Traffic Safety Spotlight in January.
During the month, police wrote 992 tickets for various infractions at intersections.
Of those, 446 of them were given to drivers who disobeyed stop signs.
“Unfortunately, some drivers in Saskatchewan weren’t interested in following the rules at intersections. Drivers who don’t follow the rules put themselves and other road users at risk, since nearly half of all collisions in Saskatchewan happen in intersections,” said a news release from the Crown insurer.
